Flathead Lake Real Estate The last week of February brought an earlier than expected thaw event across the valley. While some Flathead Lake bays are still covered in ice, the first robins of the season are flitting through yards and most of the valley floor has been uncovered. This is what most locals call 'false spring' soon to be followed by 'third winter'. There were three reported sales around the lake for the month of February, providing a solid start to this year's sales. Inventory appears to have stabilized, slightly above last year at this time for residential listings, but down for land listings.
